About Trinity Media Center

Heroes Literacy Project
In the beginning of this project, the goal of the library committee was two-fold.  The first was to find a way to improve on how books were identified in the library and classrooms.  The second was to find a way for students to have quality library time and to foster an environment where they could develop a love of reading books.

With the help of Jake Rundell, a library manager software system was selected and installed.  This database will contain every book in the media center, church library, and classrooms (with the exception of test books and the teacher's personal books.)  This is very exciting as students will be able to find just about any book they would like to read!

Students in each grade this year will be able to take Accelerated Reader quizzes, as we now have access to all AR quizzes through Renaissance Learning.  As parents/guardians, you will be able to see your children's progress in reading and even see how many books and words Trinity Lutheran school students have read by accessing the Sycamore Education Website.

With the combination of these upgrades, the library and computer lab have been transformed not only in technology, but also physically into a Media Center.

It is our sincere hope that everyone will enjoy their time in the center.  Please take a few moments to thank the volunteers who spent countless hours working on this project.

Destiny Library Manager
Destiny Library Manager is a software package provided by Follett Library Systems.  The Fremont Public Schools are also using the same software.  The library manager allows us to track which books are being read, if we have too many copies of a title, accurate tracking of late books with the capability to e-mail a parent about a late book, and many other reporting functions.

Destiny Quest
Destiny Quest is a part of the library manager which is designed for students to use at school or home.  They can access the database at any time to find books, create their own reading lists, and even find homework help links.  Students will be taught how to access and use this program.  Parents will also be given the opportunity to learn how to access this program during the Open House.
