Adopt-a-Shelf Program Begins

Adopt-a-Shelf

This program is starting with the 7th and 8th Graders, after evaluating how effective the program is, it will be extended to 5th and 6th Graders.  The long term goal is to have 5th through 8th grade volunteer for this program.

How the program works:
Students volunteer to select a shelf in the media center that they will keep organized, faced neatly, select a
book to recommend and write a review for.  Students will work the shelf at least once a week (should only
take 5 - 7 minutes total time) for a total of 10 times.  The shelfs will be rated by the Library Committe and
awarded one to five gold stars depending on accuracy and neatness.

After completeing their turn, each student will receive a personal pan pizza, soda, and be allowed to have
lunch in the media center as a group or individually.
