Team Emma

Click Here to See the Panthers working for Team Emma (movie has sound)

The 5th and 6th Grade PAL Volleyball Team sponsored a fundraiser with Team Emma for the American Cancer Society.  Emma Miller is an 11 year old young lady that has had cancer since she was three.  She has always wanted to play volleyball, but due to the cancer has never had the opportunity.

Coach Laura and Kari Ridder were able to get a fundraiser set up at a Midland University Volleyball game on October 20th.  The girls made posters and stood out in the lobby encouraging people to give to the American Cancer Society and Team Emma.  There were lots of smiles and anticipation as they waited to see if Emma was able to make it to the game.  Composure and restraint were nearly impossible once they saw Emma come into the gym with Coach Laura - they did great and did not overwhelm her.

The Midland Warriors presented Emma with a t-shirt and poster, while the Panthers assisted with a serving contest.  The girls raised a total of $143.00.
